Join me in my effort to raise money for the Lace Up for Cancer walk to benefit the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Health!
Receiving a cancer diagnosis is a life-changing event. The Cancer Center is here for our community every step of the way. More than 500 patients per day receive multidisciplinary, specialized care ranging from screenings to diagnostic imaging to groundbreaking clinical trials and access to integrative and supportive therapies.
My fundraising efforts benefit local patients turning to the Cancer Center for cancer care and screening.
My first Diagnosis was October 2015 for Renal Cell Carcinoma. I had my left kidney removed November 2015. Through the past 8 years i have gone through numerous scans, blood work, doctors appointments, etc. In April 2021, i was told the news no one wants to hear, that it had come back and been relocated. In June 2021 i had my left Lung removed. Thus, giving my team name Left out Club. It was bestowed upon me by a fellow survivor and friend who also had a left cancer removal. DFCI has been wonderful since my original diagnosis and i cant thank them enough for everything they have done for me over the past 8 years.
