As many of you know, my mother Maureen Flaherty passed away from breast cancer five years ago. She received incredible, compassionate care from the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center in South Weymouth that undoubtedly extended her life. I, myself, am now a patient of the Breast Care Center where I have access to early mammogram screenings and other forms of support such as genetic testing to combat my own risk.
Join me in my effort to raise money for the Lace Up for Cancer walk to benefit the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Health! More than 500 patients per day receive multidisciplinary, specialized care ranging from screenings to diagnostic imaging to groundbreaking clinical trials and access to integrative and supportive therapies.
My fundraising efforts benefit local patients turning to the Cancer Center for cancer care and screening. My team will be known as "Addison's Nanny" as my mother had always wanted to be known as "Nanny" to any future grandchildren. Unfortunately, she didn't have the chance to meet her first granddaughter, Addison Maureen Jones, so naming my team "Addison's Nanny" was the most logical choice!
Please help me do my part! Click on the DONATE NOW button to help me reach my fundraising goal. Or. . . even please consider joining us on June 10 by clicking "Join Kristin's Team!"
