Join me in my effort to raise money for the Lace Up for Cancer walk to benefit the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Health!
Receiving a cancer diagnosis is a life-changing event and is very personal to our family. On July 4, 2020, my mother, Karen, was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. In the middle of the pandemic, she was told she could not leave the hospital without having surgery to try to remove the mass. Imagine what a scary moment - receiving that news and not being able to be surrounded by loved ones. As scary as it was for her, she was brave and decided to fight! Fight to beat it, fight to live, fight to see her grandbabies!! With the help of South Shore Health and Dana Farber, she did just that! She received wonderful care and is now cancer FREE!!! So, I will be walking in honor of my mom, Karen Hall, as we still celebrate her victory!
The Cancer Center is here for our community every step of the way. More than 500 patients per day receive multidisciplinary, specialized care ranging from screenings to diagnostic imaging to groundbreaking clinical trials and access to integrative and supportive therapies.
My fundraising efforts benefit local patients turning to the Cancer Center for cancer care and screening.
