Thank you to our 2018 sponsors, golfers and volunteers! We had an exceptional day at Pinehills and raised a record amount of close to $270,000. This year’s Golf Classic supported South Shore Health System’s new Critical Care Unit. The first part of this project, The Richard and Joann Aubut Critical Care Unit, a state-of-the-art 24-bed CCU on the new 5th floor of the Messina Building, opened in October of 2017.

There is still work to be done as the project continues through the renovation of the existing CCU to become a 24-bed Intermediate Care Unit. This new unit will provide care for patients who are too ill for a general Medical/Surgical floor, yet do not need the intensive level of care found in the CCU. The Intermediate Care Unit provides flexibility in patient flow through their journey to health and allows our clinicians to care for their patients in the appropriate physical space.
