Enjoy a beautiful evening to pay tribute to exceptional individuals who have made an impact in Home Care in our community. This year we are delighted to honor Jim & Mary Bristol and Rose Di Pietro, MSN, MBA, RN.

Jim & Mary Bristol are pillars of the South Shore Community. Local business leaders who generously support South Shore Health, Jim served on South Shore Hospital's Board of Directors for 23 years including two terms as the Chair of the Board.

Rose Di Pietro is a beloved recently retired senior executive of South Shore Health and a longtime champion of home care. She dedicated 38 years to our organization. Through those years she made a difference for countless patients and caregivers through promoting compassionate patient care in our community.

Last year alone, our home care providers made over 170,000 home visits to 9,232 patients in 33 South Shore towns.

The number of patients who receive our care is astounding; however it’s the stories that reveal the complexity and range of patients and families that truly tell our Home Care story. They are:

  • A nurse visiting a patient after a long stay in the hospital through the First Day Home Program and ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • A wife caring for her husband who has recently suffered a stroke and is supported by a member of our Visiting Nurse Association.
  • A new mom receiving help from a member of our specialized NICU Nurse Team.
  • A family who, with the help of Hospice, is caring for their loved one as they are nearing the end of their life.
